APPLICANT:
Elk River Lions
BACKGROUND:
The Elk River Lions sell pull tabs at Broadway Bar and Pizza. Premises
Permits are renewed every two years. The Lions have met the city's
requirement of spending 75% of lawful expenditures within the city's trade
area during the past two years. (See attached Expenditure of Funds Chart)
ACTION REQUESTED:
Council motion adopting attached Resolution approving a premises permit for
Elk River Lions.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PREMISES PERMIT RENEWAL FOR
THE ELK RIVER LIONS
WHEREAS,
The Elk River Lions have made application to the State
Gambling Control Board for a Premises Permit Renewal;
and,
WHEREAS,
the Premises Permit will allow charitable gambling on the
premises of Broadway Bar and Pizza located at 16754
Highway 10 in the City of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS,
The Elk River Lions have met the city's requirement of
spending 75 percent of its lawful expenditures within the
city's trade area during the past two years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River, Minnesota that a Premises Permit for The Elk River Lions be
granted to allow charitable gambling operations at Broadway Bar and Pizza
located at 16754 Highway 10, Elk River, Minnesota.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of June 2000.
