Pedestrian Bridge Plaque
Attached to this memo is the wording for the proposed bridge plaque that I
received from Councilmember Thompson. Daryl has indicated to me in our
discussions that he believes this wording will be acceptable to the City Council
and that this plaque wording is acceptable to the Twaddle family.
Since this bridge plaque wording has evolved over the last two months or so, I
would recommend that the city fund the plaques. I would defer to
Councilmember Thompson for the cost estimate of each plaque. The request is
for two plaques, one at each entrance to the bridge.
There currently is a motion on the table that needs to be dealt with by the City
Council prior to any consideration of the attached proposed plaque wording. If
necessary, the city clerk can advise the council as to the appropriate action in
order to consider the attached proposal.
