Library Equipment Purchases
The 2000 budget for the Elk River Public Library included $5,000 of capital
outlay to be set aside for a microfilm reader/printer (a $12,000 item). Through
the successful grant work of board member Geraldine Graham and with
government pricing, we were able to purchase the microfilm reader/printer
without touching the money in the budget.
The Library Board would like to request that the $5,000 of capital outlay be
used to purchase the following items:
2 - periodical shelving starter sections
2 - periodical shelving adder sections
sloping steel magazine shelving
compact disc holder
The total for these items is $4,100.00.
Recommendation
It is recommended that approximately $4,100.00 of the Capital Outlay budget
be used for the above improvements.
