SUBJECT: Resolution Designating Polling Places
REQUEST:
Approve polling places for Primary and General Elections. The request is
specifically being made to allow for the change in the polling place for Ward
3.
APPLICANT:

BACKGROUND:
The polling location for Ward 3 has been changed from the Senior High
School to Ivan Sand School. Because the location has been changed the city is
required to approve the new location by resolution.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Adoption of the attached resolution approving polling locations for the
primary and general elections.

RESOLUTION 00-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES FOR WARDS 1,
2, 3 AND 4 IN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS,
Minnesota Statute 204B.16(1) requires that the City Council
designate by resolution a polling place for each ward in the
city; and
WHEREAS,
there are four wards in the city of Elk River, thereby
requiring four polling places.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council designate
the following polling places for Wards one through 4:
Ward 1 - City Hall - 13065 Orono Parkway
Ward 2 - Meadowvale School - 12701 Elk Lake Road
Ward 3 - Ivan Sand School - 1232 NW School Streeet
Ward 4 - Lincoln Elementary School - 600 School Street
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 14th day
of August, 2000.
