ACCEPT PAT RUSMUSSON'S
RESIGNATION FROM HERITAGE
PRESERVATION COMMISSION AND
APPOINT PAT DWYER
Attached to this memo is a letter of resignation from the city's Heritage Preservation
Commission (HPC) from Pat Rasmusson. Pat's schedule does not allow her to make it to
the HPC meetings routinely. She does, however, remain committed to the purpose of the
HPC and will try to help in ways other than serving as a member. Ms. Rasmusson will
remain on the mailing list for the HPC.
Pat Dwyer, a life long resident of Elk River, has expressed a deep interest in our
community's heritage and has applied for a position on the HPC. His application, the
only one currently on file for this Commission, is attached. Staff feels Mr. Dwyer will be
a useful addition to this group and sees no reason to advertise for other candidates. Staff
recommends Pat Dwyer's appointment to the HPC.

With regret, I tender my resignation of membership on the Heritage
Preservation Commission. My frequent absences because of out-of-
town travel makes my participation very poor. I believe strongly
in the need for this commission, and know that it needs strong,
dedicated personnel to flourish.
Thank you for the opportunity to share in the concept and pre-
planning. I will try to be a resource in the future.
