Consider Tile Repair in County Ditch #28
*Item 3.4.*
Staff has been working with the Sherburne County ditch inspector to resolve a drainage issue
on 199th and Pascal Avenue in Oakwood Forest Development. The tile connecting this area
to ditch #28 is no longer functioning. It needs to be repaired so it can again provide
drainage to this area and reduce the threat of high water damage to two area homes.
The county received bids from two local contractors: Herbst Excavating of Clear Lake for
$11,668.00 and BigJon's Construction Company of Elk River for $15,537.00. The only
other cost associated with this project is the survey staking by H.R. Green but at this time I
do not have that figure.
The cost for this project will be paid from the Surface Water Management Fund.
Recommendation
The City Council approve the ditch improvement to County Ditch #28 by Herbst
Excavating for $11,668.00 and the staking cost by H.R. Green with funding from the Surface
Water Management Fund.
