Approve,by motion, Fire Department Incident Support Trailer purchase and up fitting.
Background/Discussion
Approved in the 2015 Capital Improvement Plan is the purchase of a mobile air/incident support trailer.
The trailer is to be used to fill Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) bottles on site and provide a
location for firefighters to be medically evaluated and rehabilitated after engaging in firefighting activity.
Staff has received proposals from a number of vendors and is recommending the following based on the
lowest quotes:
Station cascade and fill station (Clarey's Safety Equipment)........................................................... $29,202
Trailer (Missouri Great Dane).............................................................................................................. $79,489
Mobile air-fill station and bottles (Alex Air Apparatus,Inc.).......................................................... $13,175
Miscellaneous (lettering,warning lights, equipment installation, etc.) ..............................................$3,000
The total project cost is $124,866.
Financial Impact
$125,000 has been budgeted in the Equipment Replacement Fund for this project.

The computers will allow for an interface with the County's dispatch system and provide Hazmat data and dispatch applications.
The trailer will provide the capability of filling firefighter self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) bottles on-scene. The trailer will also carry
