Authorize,by motion, staff to initiate land use and zoning changes of county owned property to facilitate
a data center.
Background/Discussion
City and county staff have been working together to position the property adjacent to the Sherburne
County Government Center for a data center.The city recently completed a similar process to change a
portion of the property,but recent interest in the property shows a need to rezone the entire parcel. The
parcel will be rezoned from Single-Family Residential (R-1c) to Business Park (BP).
The adjacent map shows the proposed area,in yellow, to be
rezoned to Business Park. The change will not affect the
current use of the property,nor will it impact the planned
government center expansion.
With authorization, staff will prepare the necessary public
hearings and staff reports.
