Marilyn Schroeder will be present to receive the proclamation. Financial Impact N/A Attachments ■ Proclamation POWERED 6T Template Updoted 4/14 INAMIRE1 Proclamation Designating September 17 - 23, 2015, as Constitution Week WHEREAS, our Founding Fathers,in order to secure the blessings of liberty for themselves and their posterity, did ordain and establish a Constitution for the United States; and WHEREAS, it is important that all citizens fully understand the provisions and principles contained in the Constitution in order to effectively support,preserve, and defend against all enemies; and WHEREAS, September 17, 2015, marks the two hundred twenty-eighth anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention; and WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to accord official recognition of this magnificent document and its memorable anniversary; and WHEREAS, the independence guaranteed to American citizens,whether by birth or naturalization, should be celebrated during Constitution Week, September 17 through 23, 2015, as designated by proclamation of the President of the United States of America in accordance with Public Law 915.
