SUBJECT: Regular Meeting of the Elk River Heritage Preservation Commission
This is a brief discussion of the meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at the Elk
River City Hall in the Uppertown Conference Room. The agenda is included with this memo.
General Business
5.1 Water Tower Subcommittee Update
Chair Fox will provide an update about establishing a 501 (c)(3) in partnership with the
Kelley Farm. The non-profit would allow the subcommittee to accept tax deductible
donations for future work on the tower.
5.2 Discuss water tower site and plans for the area
Now that we have an idea of how much the restoration efforts for the water tower will
cost,what do we want to see happen?This will be a discussion about city plans
surrounding the site and how they fit into the restoration efforts, and what do we want to
see happen there. Please brainstorm about your vision and plans for what the property
should be.
