Action Requested
Approve,by motion, the hiring of Megan Kosloske to the position of police officer effective
November 2, 2015.
Background/Discussion
Due to resignations and an untimely death, the department currently has two police officer vacancies. The
department also anticipates a retirement later this year.
Staff interviewed 90 viable candidates for the vacancies. Megan Kosloske has completed her background
checks and physical/psychological examinations.
Based on the successful results we are requesting approval to hire Megan Kosloske for one of the open
officer positions.
Financial Impact
The positions are currently budgeted. Pay rate is per the union contract for a starting officer.
