Action Requested
Approve,by motion, the hiring of David Williams to the position of police officer effective
November 16, 2015.
Background/Discussion
Due to the resignation and an untimely death, the department currently has one police officer vacancy
remaining.
Staff interviewed 90 viable candidates for the vacancies. David Williams has completed his background
checks and physical/psychological examinations.
Based on the successful results we are requesting approval to hire David Williams for the remaining open
officer position.
Financial Impact
The positions are currently budgeted. Pay rate is per the union contract for starting officer.
