5.1 University of St Thomas—Sustainable Communities Partnership
The University of St.Thomas in St.Paul is beginning,a pilot program called the Sustainable
Community Partnership.This is similar to the UofM Resilient Communities Partnership that
has been in progress for years and is one of our Energy City 10-Year Action Plan tasks.
Community partners are selected to partner with classes from every topic to work on real
community projects in sustainability efforts.
We have been selected to work with UST along with Delano and the Mississippi Watershed
Organization for the 2016-17 school years. The finalized list of project ideas is attached.
52 University of St.Thomas—Renewable Energy&Alternatives Laboratory(REAL)
REAL is an UST School of Engineering team of electrical,mechanical,and,magnetic
engineering focused on renewable energy technologies world-wide.Kristin will have more
information about possible collaboration with REAL.
5.3 Clean Energy Accelerator
The Clean Energy Accelerator is a partnership with the metro Clean Energy Resource Team,
(CERT).The partnership is for both governmental and organization groups for a variety of
clean energy initiatives from planning to research to implementation.Discuss possible work
that can be accomplishedthrough the Accelerator partnership.
6.1 Solar Power Hours—Datham Lythgoe of MRSA
Datham will be joining us to discuss the Solar Power Hours—a customer outreach model on
solar setups,financial considerations,and how to select the right installer.The events are
open to the public at no cost and include both residential and commercial sectors.
