SUBJECT: Cancellation of April 28th HRA Meeting
The purpose of this notice is to indicate the cancellation of the regularly scheduled
HRA meeting on Monday, April 28, 1997, due to a lack of agenda items.
It should also be noted that the regularly scheduled HRA meeting for May 26, 1997,
will have to be postponed because of the Memorial Day holiday. Staff and Chair
Gene Schuldt have discussed that it might be best to schedule the meeting at this
time for Tuesday, May 27, 5 to 6 p.m. This will allow HRA Commissioners to adjust
• their schedule accordingly.
Staff has the following two update items:
• King and Main Project- Veit Companies have indicated they may begin
demolition in the last week of April. All utility disconnects have been
completed to the buildings on the site and the HRA sign will be erected at
the corner of the site shortly. No additional information regarding
developer progress on locating tenants for this project.
• Strategic Planning-Staff will be taking public comment on the
Strategic Plan for Economic Development over the next couple of weeks
and is proposing the Council formally adopt the plan at their meeting on
May 19, 1997. The joint meeting involving the City Council, EDA, HRA,
Strategic Planning Task Force, and other groups was completed
successfully on Monday, April 21St. Favorable comments were received
and a couple minor modifications suggested at that time.
