Meeting
5. Discuss King and Main Concept- Gary Santwire
Gary Santwire will be available at this HRA meeting to discuss a
concept for the development of the King and Main site in downtown
Elk River.
Ali 6. Process of Downtown Master Plan
Staff will take this opportunity to update the HRA on its thoughts
regarding a Downtown Master Plan after the presentation by the City
of Monticello and Monticello Community Partners. It is appropriate at
this time for the HRA to discuss whether it is in support of proceeding
with a downtown plan. Staff has formed an Executive Committee for
the downtown plan and will be meeting on Tuesday, March 24, at
which time such comments by the HRA will be discussed.
It is appropriate for the HRA to discuss the following questions:
• Do we want to proceed with some type of Downtown Master
Plan?
• Is the timing right to undertake such a project?
• What do we envision for a Downtown Master Plan?
• How should we divide responsibilities of this project among
various groups, i.e. HRA, Rivers Edge, Chamber, Planning
Commission?
