Meeting
5. Downtown Master Plan Facilitator Discussion
At a meeting of the Downtown Master Plan Executive Committee,
there was consensus that we should move forward to begin putting the
package together for a Downtown Master Plan process. It was also the
consensus of the Executive Committee that the process would involve

the following two primary components:
• Visioning
• Physical Design
Staff would like to discuss with the HRA the following process of
undertaking the visioning activities:
• May/June HRA Meetings - Interview potential visioning
facilitators
• July/August HRA Meetings -Detail cost and scope of work
for visioning process, make facilitator selection
• September -Begin visioning process
Staff has been in contact with two potential interested facilitators and
is continuing to pursue a third at this time. Staff would like the HRA
to participate in a discussion with each of these potential facilitators in
order to determine with whom they would be most comfortable. As we
further discuss the timing and logistics of the visioning process, we
will be better able to define the cost of hiring such facilitator to
complete the scope of work.

As you will recall, the HRA budgeted $10,000 to be used for facilitation
of the Downtown Master Plan project.
6. Update -King and Main
Staff has been in contact with Gary Santwire since the last HRA
meeting and he has indicated his intent to seek tenant interest in a
potential project at the corner of King and Main Street. Staff does not
have any further update on this project at this time.
