6.A. SWCSR 11-05-2015 • w October Production Report Good Morning, October wasn't an overly busy month,but it was a steady month. Finally got a couple of football games in Elk River. Worked on the sewer video, I think the script if final. I've been to Buffalo sewer plant and Elk River plant twice for footage. A huge thanks to Phil and Bobby from Delano. Bobby wrote the script and toured the Buffalo plant with me. The big project this month ended up being kind of a last minute project. Buffalo's Operation Bounce Back, sponsored by the Buffalo Hospital started with a promo type video. They supplied several cell phone videos and some stills that they wanted set to music. They played the video before the seminar. My son and another Volunteer from Buffalo, Tom, helped me record. Our last movie make up date in Monticello, on the 30th, Into the Woods played in the council chamber. I've been trying to take opportunities where I can to prepare for future videos. Saturday, Delano had a controlled training burn that my son and I taped. I talked to Fire Chief VanLith about the City Works Public Safety Fire Department video. I've also been in contact with Police Chief Scharf in Big Lake about the Public Safety Police video. Delano has a new producer for meetings, and he seems to be working out well. Buffalo will have a new producer soon. I was asked by the Mayor to record this and put it their channel. City Works Sewer is close I'm taping voiceover today I think I have all the footage I need. I've started playing with the basketball schedule September Production Report. So a lighter month this month, but still some issues with weather this month. We had two football games scheduled this month. Game one was cancelled due to staffing issues, for a variety of reasons, we ended up with a crew of two. Game two was cancelled due to rain potential. Dassel Movie, a first for us, we played the classic Wizard of Oz. Dassel Parade and Coronation also went very well. Big Lake movie, a fun one, Guardians of the Galaxy and lastly, Delano Movie at the Elementary school. Another rained out event was the Rockford Movie and the backup day. I continue to backup cities for their meetings, Delano now has a new producer, Pm still working in Buffalo, and occasionally in Monticello. I've taken several vacation days this month as events allow. We've started on the City Works Sewer video, and have tentatively decided to split it into three videos, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and one that's not necessarily City Works, but a video on what should and shouldn't be flushed down the toilet. I've gotten footage at Elk River and Buffalo waste water treatment plants, and more scheduled. Jake from Elk River is helping as well as Bobbie from Delano. Only one more parade and coronation left to do, a half dozen movies, and a couple of football games. We survived hell week twelve events in ten days, with a couple of double booked days. One concert in Big Lake was cancelled due to rain. That week we did a Cokato, Monticello, Rockford and Delano movies, Cokato parade and coronation, file footage of Gear Head Get Together in Maple Lake, a talent competition in Dassel, and the Rockford Parade which probably should have been cancelled, a little more than half way through the parade the skies opened up. Fortunately,we keep a close eye on the weather, and we were able to pull the cameras under the tent for the remainder of the parade. Unfortunately the coronation was cancelled, and later rescheduled, but we weren't informed of the reschedule so we did not tape it. Apart from hell week, we had two concerts and a couple of movies. The 4th of July in Delano, 4 days of fun Starting with the Delano Coronation. We set up speakers and 2 cameras in Municipal Stadium My next event wasn't actually in Delano. On Thursday we recorded Platinum FM in Big Lake. Friday was more Delano events, I set up speakers for the American Legion Memorial event and for the Kiddy Tractor Pull. Saturday was the big parade. We were in a new location in Downtown Delano, and we had a couple of firsts. one first was we were able to use the Municipal Utilities bucket truck for a camera right over the center of the parade,providing some very unique shots. Another first for us was two local celebrities announcing the parade for us. Terri Traen and Melissa Keller. Terri you all know from KQRS Morning show, grew up in Delano. Melissa is from long lake, and was a model for Sports Illustrated and was in several movies. Melissa's brother lives in Delano and is involved in the community. After the parade was more sound support for the bean bag tournament. A fun concert in Elk River, Song Blast Friday was Delano Movie in the Baseball Park,this was a rain reschedule. Sunday July 12th was the Monticello Riverfest Parade We have had a couple of rain outs this month, starting with a Concert in Big Lake, Outside Recess,the next day with the Maple Lake Movie in the Park. The Watertown parade was cancelled due to storm damage,but we were still able to do the Elk River Parade. The Jimmy's played in Elk River on the 23rd Rockford and Monticello Movie in the Park And Last event this month was an Elk River concert, the Fabulous Armadillos. Also this month I was available to help cable cast meetings for Big Lake, Buffalo and Delano I also had a weekend without events. My family and had a relaxing weekend near Northholm MN at my daughter-in-law's family cabin.
