6. Discuss Post Office Relocation Issue
Attached to this memo is a letter which staff sent to the postal service
regarding, discussions of relocation of their operations which are
currently located in the Elk River central business district. This letter
states that the HRA and EDA would cooperate to aid in the relocation of
their distribution facilities and retail services facility in separate
locations. Staff would like for the HRA to consider theconcept of
providing the King and Main lot to a developer at possibly a reduced
price in order to provide an incentive to the postal service to locate on
the site as a primary tenant.
