4.12. SR 12-21-2015Request for Action To Item Number Mayor and City Council 4.12 Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by Consent December 21, 2015 Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation Director Item Description Reviewed by Agreement to Remove the William H. Houlton Cal Portner, City Administrator Conservation Area Farm Outbuildings Reviewed by Tustin Femrite, Ci -P--; eer Action Requested Adopt, by motion, the Agreement for Services to hire Veit & Company Inc. to complete the removal of the William H. Houlton Conservation Area outbuildings and materials. Background/Discussion City Council already approved on December 7, 2015, the Agreement for Services to hire Veit & Company to complete the removal of the farm buildings. Upon tabulation of the bids, staff found two items that need to be corrected: ■ The completion date should read July 31, 2016. The agreement originally stated 2015. ■ The Not to Exceed price should be $41,084. The mobilization item on Veit's form in the amount of $1,235 was left out. They have a mobilization cost on their hand written form that was missed in the amount of $1,235.00. Staff has made these corrections to the Agreement for City Council to approve. Veit still remains the most responsible lowest bid at $41,084. The next lowest bid was at $44,585 so this slight increase of $1,235 to the agreement does not change the bid outcome. Financial Impact This work will be funded through the Houlton Property Fund. The fund currently has over $63,000 with revenue from a donation of $50,000 from the Trust for Public Land and a short-term agriculture lease.
