Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging a holiday wreath donation from the Elk River High
School Boys Hockey Team.
Background/Discussion
The Elk River High School Boys Hockey Team has donated a 60” wreath to the Ice Arena for the holiday
season. The wreath’s estimated value is approximately $100.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03, resolutions acknowledging contributions must be adopted by a
four-fifths vote.

Councilmember _______________ introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:

A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $100 estimated value wreath donation
from Elk River High School Boys Hockey Team with the intent it be used by Parks and
Recreation Department Ice Arena for holiday decorations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Elk River High School Boys Hockey Team
for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
______________, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
