I. Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the work session meeting of the Elk River
Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Chair
Anderson.
2. Park Dedication Fund
• Mr. Simon shared what the Park Improvement Fund is and how it is used to
maintain the City's parks assets, sharing the 2016 projects.
Mr. Hecker discussed what was completed in 2015 and that some line items will roll
over into the next year.
Commissioner Nystrom shared that the Great Northern Trail will be constructed in
2017 from the Elk River city line to Zimmerman.
The commission members discussed moving the 2015 athletic field improvement
line item over to 2016 as they agreed the current proposed amount to build dugouts
was too high.
3. Adjournment
There being no further business, Chair Anderson adjourned the work session
meeting of the Elk River Parks and Recreation Commission at 9:55 p.m.
