Adopt, by motion, the attached resolution acknowledging the contributions of $10,000 to the Fire
Department from various groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From June 1, through December 31, 2015, the Fire Department received two donations from groups and
organizations totaling $10,000. The intent of the donations is listed on the attached spreadsheet.
Contributions shall be approved for acceptance and resolution adopted by at least four-fifths vote.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River Fire Department has received $10,000 in donations.

A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Fire Department received donations from June 1 –
December 31, 2015, from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A,
attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend these individual and organizations for their
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
______________, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
