A Resolution of the City of Elk River Amending the Comprehensive Plan to
Change the Land Use from Development Reserve/Mining/Residential to
Highway Business/Mining
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462.355, Subdivision 2, prescribes the procedure
for amending the Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on December 22, 2015, and
recommended approval regarding the Comprehensive Plan amendment request for the
property generally described as: East of Highway 169 between the alignments for 215th and
219th Avenues, Sherburne County, Minnesota, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Comprehensive Plan amendment request
and finds the following:
1. The current use of the site is consistent with highway business and mining uses.
2. The proposed land use is consistent with the surrounding land uses.
3. The use would not have adverse impacts on the surrounding land uses.
4. The proposed changes are in general conformance to the adopted Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk
River, Minnesota, as follows: The Land Use Plan be amended to change the property as
described above from Development Reserve/Mining/Residential to Highway
Business/Mining
