RESOLUTION 04-66
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH AN
ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD
WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statute Section 203B.13 allows the governing body of
any municipality to establish an absentee ballot board, and
WHEREAS, this absentee ballot board would be authorized by the city council to do
any of the following: receive, examine, validate, and count absentee
ballots in the manner provided in state statute.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of Elk
River hereby authorizes the establishment of an absentee ballot board with duties as
authorized by State Statute. This absentee ballot board will be used for all upcoming
elections at the discretion of the City Clerk.
