5.1. SR 09-13-2004
Item 5.1.
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and City Council
FROM: Pat Klaers, City Administrator
DATE: September 13, 2004
SUBJECT: Council Open Forum
In July the City Council discussed putting timeframes on the worksession agenda items. This
may be appropriate for the September 13 worksession meeting as there is a potential for
each agenda item to get lengthy, and yet I know that the City Council doesn't want the
worksession to last anymore than 2- 2\/, hours.
5.2. Update on Miske Development Proposal
The Miske discussion should be straightforward and brief. Formal consideration will be on
September 20, 2004. Staff is looking for Council feedback on the school site being included
and the density/mix of housing being proposed.
5.3. Koehler House and Library Expansion Update
This may be a brief discussion. It is unfortunate, but the expenses to repair the house
compared to the months for renting the house do not match up in a positive manner for the
city.
5.4. Westbound Liquor Store Discussion
This item could take one \/2 hour or more.
5.5. Consider Bud~et and Tax Levy Resolutions
This should be brief based on the feedback that staff has received from the City Council
during the past three budget worksessions.
5.6. Discuss October II Board/Commission loint Meetin~ with City Council
This item could be lengthy or brief. This item maybe should move to after the ambulance
discussion depending on when in the evening we get to it.
5.7. Elk River Ambulance Discussion
I've asked Steve Dittbenner to be at the meeting at 7:30 p.m. As we all know Steve loves the
ambulance service and could talk at great length about the ambulance operation.
