SUBJECT: Goal Setting Worksession with Boards and Commissions
Per direction from the City Council, an annual meeting with the boards and commissions
has been scheduled for Monday, October 11 at Lions Park Center.
After the meeting has been called to order and introductions given, each Chair will discuss
the top goals of their board/ commission. After all of the goals are presented, then Council
feedback on whether or not these goals are consistent and on track with their goals is
needed. This should be an informal session, with open discussion and feedback from any
board/ commission member.
Council may wish to elaborate on the following:
. What has led up to the calling of this joint meeting;
. Boards and Commissions Handbook;
. What the Council wishes to see accomplished at this meeting;
. The appointing of Council Liaisons to city boards/ commissions;
. The need for good two-way communication between the Council and the
boards/ commissions;-
. Consistency issues;
. The Council's vision and goals; and,
. Action steps that is necessary to achieve identified goals.
