Staff is in the process of planning our 2016 recreation programs and event offerings.
Feedback gathered from participants who took part in our 2015 programs is being reviewed
as part of this process. This feedback will be used to make adjustments necessary to ensure
that programs being offered are best serving the Elk River community.
Skate Park Design Project
At the December 21 City Council meeting,it was approve to hire Spohn Ranch Skateparks
to facilitate the design process of the Orono Park skatepark. The design work is expected to
begin this month.

2016 year end recorded attendance was 27,311. This is an 86%increase since the center
opened in 2008.2016 Membership drive is in progress,and 300 memberships have been
purchased to date.The December Annual Members Holiday Party was attended by 150
members.Attendees enjoyed a light dinner and musical entertainment by Paul Imholte.
