DISCUSSION:
At the December 8 Commission meeting the Commission authorized staff to provide formal
termination notice to Great River Energy(GRE) for the ERMU Diesel Power Plant
capacity/energy agreement. This notice was given on December 14, 2015.

Dear Mr. Brekke:
At the December 8, 2015 Utilities Commission Meeting,the Commission approved exercising the option
of terminating the ERMU-GRE Capacity/Energy Agreement for ERMU's Diesel/Natural Gas Power Plant.
The contract was originally dated May 1, 1988,and has been most recently amended on March 6, 2013.
This letter shall serve as formal notice of the agreement termination per the terms of the most recent
agreement addendum.
