Staff Update
DISCUSSION:
• Had three new services.
• Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time
permits.
• Put rebuilding River Ranch in Otsego on hold until spring.
• Finished replacing stickers and locks on the equipment in the Connexus acquisition area.
• Hooked up the permanent service for Sportech in Natures Edge Business Park.
• Continue rebuilding Ulysses and 171St Avenue. This will bring a feeder line closer to the
businesses in Natures Edge Business Park.
• Finished redoing some of the infrastructure in the West Oaks 5th, 7th and 8th Additions.
This was originally platted for townhomes but the developer changed it to single family
homes.
• We are helping the City's Street Department trim trees that are in the road right of way.
• Attended the Technical &Operations Conference that Minnesota Municipal Utilities
Association(MMUA)held in St. Cloud. They had some very good speakers. A few of the
section's I attended were: Building and Leading Successful Teams, Developing and
Maintaining Your Rate Structure, Transformer and Power Cable Specifications,APPA
Rodeo Update and an MMUA update.
• I am on the Advisory Board for the Electrical Line Worker Technology Program at
Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Wadena. We look at the student's
curriculum and training needs and let them know what the industry is looking for in
students when they graduate.
