SUBJECT: Proclaiming November 2, 2004 as Election judge Day
This proclamation is to thank the election judges who are dedicated and committed to
conduct the election process in a fair and accurate manner in the City of Elk River. I had a
great response from the community when advertising was made for election judges.
November 2, 2004 is not only Election Day but should also be a day to recognize out
election judges who are dedicated, work long hours, and conduct themselves in a
professional manner while representing the great City of Elk River.
PROCLAMATION

Election Judge Day
In Elk River, Minnesota
WHEREAS, Election Judges serve as the Gatekeepers of Democracy and the public's
Guardians of rreedom within a democratic society; and
WHEREAS, Election Judges are responsible for the integrity of the election process; and
WHEREAS, Election Judges proudly conduct elections with accuracy, fairness and dignity; and
WHEREAS, Election Judges conduct themselves and serve the voters in a manner that
maintains public trust and confidence in honest and impartial elections; and
WHEREAS, Election Judges continue to proudly support the City of Elk River's election
process; and
WHEREAS, over one hundred Election Judges were selected to serve in eight precincts in
the City of Elk River for the elections of September 14 and November 2, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the dedication and commitment of these Election Judges in serving the community
when called upon is highly commendable.
THEREFORE, I, Stephanie Klinzing, Mayor of the City of Elk River, do hereby proclaim
November 2, 2004 as "Election Judge Day", honoring and thanking all Election
Judges who are proudly serving the voters in the great City of Elk River.
