RE: Resignation of Planning Commission Position
Madam Mayor and Council Members:
It is with great regret that as of today I am resigning my position on the Elk River
Planning Commission. My husband and I have decided to build a new home and have
sold our current home. It was our desire to remain within the City of Elk River; however,
as we began searching for a lot within the City we chose one just north of the Elk River
boundary in Livonia Township.
As I will be making a temporary move to Otsego at the end of September, and a
permanent move to Livonia Township early next year I feel that it is appropriate for me
to submit my resignation at this time. I will be available to serve on the Planning
Commission as long as the Council desires or until another appointment can be made to
fill my position.
I thank you for the opportunity to serve the City of Elk River as a member of the
Planning Commission and I apologize for my inability to complete my term.
Sincerely,
UtIJJ/I1tu'~
Melanie Curtis
