SUBJECT: Consider Ordinance Amendment to Business Park District

• Analysis
The City Council directed staff to prepare an ordinance amendment allowing, as a
conditional use permit,in the Business Park District,athletic and training facilities. Attached
please find the staff report to the Planning Commission detailing this ordinance amendment,
including the proposed ordinance language. As this affects the Business Park District,staff
is requesting that the EDA review the ordinance language and suggest any changes or
additions to the proposed amendment.
The Planning Commission voted to recommend denial of the ordinance amendment to the
City Council,stating that it does not conform to the purpose statement of the Business Park
District.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the EDA review the ordinance language. The EDA may make a
motion supporting the request if it finds it appropriate to do so.
