Establishing a joint marketing agreement with Hoyt Partners was a goal listed
in the Economic Development Strategic Plan, as well as the Strategic Industrial

West Business Park. Staff met with representatives from United Properties
several weeks ago to discuss the site development, financing, potential users,
• and planning issues.
2. Marketing Folder &Fact Sheets
Anita Duckor recently presented a mock-up of marketing material to staff as
part of the communications strategy/logo redesign project. She is currently
acquiring a series of quotes for printing both a new folder and fact sheet
templates. It is anticipated that the materials will be presented at next month's
EDA meeting.
3. Key Accounts
Staff recently sent letters to ten key accounts listed in the Strategic Industrial
Marketing Plan. The letter highlighted development opportunities and
included information on the city's business parks. Staff will be following up
with phone calls this month and sending out marketing materials as soon as
they are available.
4. Advertisements
The first ad in the city's new advertising campaign will be featured in the 2001
first quarter issues of the Minnesota Real Estate Journal Leasing Guide and Job
Shop Technology. The ad features a testimonial from Tescom and includes
Northstar Access and The Bank of Elk River as sponsors.
