SUBJECT: Strategic Industrial Marketing Plan Update
MN Manufacturing &Technology Week
The Department of Trade and Economic Development annually sponsors Manufacturing&
Technology Week in October to showcase industrial firms throughout the state and raise
awareness of their economic importance. Staff will be working with the Chamber to arrange
a tour of one or two Elk River industrial firms.
• City of Elk River Web Site Update
Staff is working with a committee for the update of the City website. The goal of the project
is to create an attractive,informative site for residents and business prospects. A format
offered by the League of MN Cities is currently being considered and would allow staff to
easily update information. The site should also coordinate with the City's recent
Communication Standards Plan. Staff anticipates the new site to be online by the first of
year 2003.
