SUBJECT: CONTRIBUTION REQUEST
The Elk River City Council and Economic Development Authority recently took action to
deny the Initiative Foundation's 1999 request for funding. After reviewing information by
Connie Marcyes dated September 28, 1999, it became apparent that we have already
provided a fair percentage of the originally requested contribution. I have evaluated the
summary that was provided by your office as follows:

Rockford 11%
Our current contribution to date - $5,000—as a percentage appears to lie somewhere within
what other communities in our region have determined is most appropriate as a
contribution to the Initiative Foundation.
