Dear Paul,
This is to confirm that the Initiative Fund's presentation to the Elk River EDA has been
re-scheduled to Monday, October 12, 1998 at 6:00 p.m. As we've discussed by phone,
the purpose of our presentation will be to update the EDA on the Initiative Fund's
activities in the Sherburne County area, and to respond to any questions about the request
for support that we submitted to the City on August 11, 1998.
Based on our phone contact, it is my understanding that our request will most likely fall
outside of the City's budget process. As you indicated, any contribution the City might
111 make to the Initiative Fund at this point would probably come from reserves, and
therefore does not need to be identified in the draft budget. This was helpful information.
We look forward to seeing you and the members of the EDA on the 12th. Please do not
hesitate to call if you need further information, or have any questions.
