Subject: Midwest Fixture Group Project
Special Instructions: Paul- Please find attached the letter I received today
from Wylt. I regret not having the opportunity to work
with you on this project. However, with your approval, I
would like to assist you in marketing the site to other
companies. In my experience working with many of the
other cities, I must say, you and the City of Elk River
are very professional and helpful. Surprisingly not a
common trait.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you
more in detail a marketing plan.

Dear Paul:
I regret to inform you that we have decided not to relocate to the West Business Park.
This decision was reached after several meetings with my partners and our employees.
While other issues were raised, it really just boiled down to a matter of geography.
Without exception, the Elk River site represents a longer commute for all of our current
employees. Several expressed strong reservations about continuing with the company after
• such a move.
I'm sorry that we will not be proceeding further with you on this project. You did an
outstanding job representing the City and the EDA. Through your determined effort
many of the early obstacles were overcome. I have no doubts that the Elk River site will
prove to be an excellent location for the right company. Unfortunately, at this early stage
in our development, it is not the best location for MFG.
I want to thank the EDA and its staff members, and particularly yourself, for all of your
work on this project. It has been a pleasure to work with you and I wish you the best of
success going forward.
Sincere
