RESOLUTION FOR COMMUNITIES WITH EXISTING
HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has in existence a Housing and
Redevelopment Authority created under the provisions of the
Municipal Housing and Redevelopment Act, Minnesota Statues,
Section 469.001 to 469. 047 and acts amendatory thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City
of Elk River desires to authorize the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority of St. Cloud to undertake the
administration of the Section 8 Existing Rental Assistance
Program, and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City
of Elk River feels there is a need for rental assistance in
its community.
• NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Elk River hereby
authorizes the Housing and Redeveopment Authority of St.
Cloud to administer the Section 8 Existing Rental Assistance
Program within the boundaries of the City of Elk River.
By this resolution it is not intended to create a principal-
agency relationship between the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of Elk River and the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of St. Cloud. It is intended that - and in acting
pursuant to this resolution - the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of St. Cloud be solely responsible and liabile for
its actions hereunder.
