Action Requested
Approve,by motion, a license to sell tobacco related products to Elk River Vape Shop Inc.,
13493 Business Center Drive,valid through December 31, 2016,with the following condition:
■ No smoking shall be allowed in the Elk River Vape Shop unless city staff verifies the
ventilation requirements outlined in the city code have been met.
Background/Discussion
Elk River Vape Shop Inc. is purchasing the store currently licensed as The ECig Palace located at 13493
Business Center Drive.
City code prohibits issuance of a tobacco related products license in multi-tenant facilities that do not
have their own ventilation systems unless the license provides that there will be no smoking in the
establishment. The applicant has agreed not to allow smoking in his establishment.
