Crown the 2016 Elk River Ambassadors.
Background/Discussion
In August of 2015,Ms. Elizabeth Lies and Ms. Angie Gerou presented information to the Council
regarding an Elk River Ambassador and Royalty Program.
The mission of the program is: To empozver theyouth of Elk Diver to today, tomorron), and the future by inspiring
self-confidence and leadershp through acts of community service P)hile enriching personal development and gron)th Pith an
educational scholarsh p.
On September 8, 2015, the Council approved a resolution of support for an ambassador and royalty
program.
Ambassador and Royalty officials have selected their 2016 royalty and present them to the City of Elk
River and its City Council for coronation.
The Mayor will crown and the Council will present certificates and congratulate the 2016 Royal Court.
