SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing Execution of the Safe and Sober
Agreement
I have attached a resolution authorizing the Execution of Agreement between the Elk River
Police Department and the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for the project entitled
Safe & Sober Communities for the period October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005.
The amount awarded is $7,500.
The Agreement must be signed and the original returned to the State so that we may
participate in this program.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
Be it resolved that the Elk River Police Department enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for
the project entitled SAFE & SOBER COMMUNITIES during the period from October 1,
2004 through September 30, 2005.
Chief Jeffrey Beahen is hereby authorized to execute such agreements and
amendments as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the Elk River Police
Department and to be the fiscal agent and administer the grant.
