Adopt,by motion, a resolution acknowledging three donations as outlined in Exhibit A.
Background/Discussion
The resolution is for three donations as outlined below:
■ Stewart Wilson offered to donate $200 in refreshments for the May 1 Houlton Sneak Peak event
providing an opportunity for the community to view the William H. Houlton Conservation Area.
■ Cargill donated $500 to plant 20 trees around the YAC football field.
■ Elizabeth Andres purchased one $100 tree to be planted at Trott Brook Farms Park in memory of
her husband.

Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution 16-
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received three donations outlined in exhibit A with the
intent it be used by Parks and Recreation Department for the reasons stated in exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Cargill for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof-

resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
