Adopt, by motion, a resolution to approve, authorize and ratify the signing of the Master Subscriber
Agreement for Minnesota Court Data Services for Governmental Agencies.
Background/Discussion
The Minnesota Judicial Branch has implemented eCourtMN to improve the court process for document
access. They require a master agreement for participation.
The state also needs a resolution identifying who may sign the agreement on the city’s behalf. The
resolution authorizes the city administrator to effect the agreement.

A Resolution of the City of Elk River Authorizing the City of Elk River to
Enter into a Master Agreement for Minnesota Court Data Services
WHEREAS,
the City of Elk River desires to improve efficiencies through participating in
more efficient court process with the Minnesota Judicial Branch; and,
WHEREAS,
as the Minnesota Judicial Branch moves towards a more efficient court
process, the eCourtMN initiative is committed to ensuring that non-court governmental
agencies have appropriate access to court records and documents; and,
WHEREAS,
the City of Elk River desires to subscribe to Minnesota Court Data Services
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
that the Members of the City Council of
the City of Elk River approve, authorize, and ratify the signing of the Master Subscriber
Agreement for Minnesota Court Data Services for Governmental Agencies by Calvin P.
Portner, City Administrator, signed on April 25, 2016.
