Action Requested
Approve,by motion, a public display of fireworks/pyrotechnic license for RES Specialty Pyrotechnics to
conduct a pyrotechnic display from the Elk River High School football field for the Independence Day
holiday with the following conditions:
1. Fire watch shall be established per direction of the fire marshal.
2. Applicant must contact Fire Marshal Cliff Anderson at 763.238.3489 to schedule pre-loading
and post-loading inspections.
Background/Discussion
RES Specialty Pyrotechnics has applied for, on behalf of the city, a public display of
fireworks/pyrotechnic license to conduct fireworks from the Elk River High School football field.
The Fireworks Operator Certification has been verified with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety/
The Fire Department has reviewed and approved the site plan.
