MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER:

Staff Update
DISCUSSION:
• Had nine new services.
• Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time
permits.
• Finished working on rebuilding Ulysses and 171St Avenue.
• Continue rebuilding River Ranch in Otsego.
• Had to change out a three phase pole that had a three transformer bank on it that fed the
dental office at Main Street and Lowell Avenue.
• Changed out a rusty open air switchgear cabinet with a dead front switchgear cabinet at
the southeast corner of Main Street and Highway 169.
• Doing some maintenance which consists of changing out some transformer box pads,
swollen primary elbows and rusty junction boxes in Country Crossing Third Addition.
• Started working on changing out the rest of the fuse pads. This has been an ongoing
project that had to be done due to our high fault current.
• Started working on changing out some of the rusty junction boxes or removing ones that
are no longer necessary.
• M&M Precision Machining added an addition service to their building on Meadowvale
Road.
• Installed an underground single phase service and removed the single phase overhead
service on the Houlton Property for the city.
• Installed a regulator bank on County Road 40. This is a backup feeder from the north
substation and will help maintain good voltage for the territory we acquired last year and
if Connexus needs to use the interconnect on County Road 12.
• Attached are pictures of the new Bore Rig truck and Vac-Tron.
• Mitch Girtz and Zac Johnson attended Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association
(MMUA)Underground School May 17-20 in Marshall, MN. Their education reports are
attached.
