SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Acknowledging Donation from the Elk
River Lions Club
The Elk River Fire Department recently received a donation in the amount of $2,500 from
the Elk River Lions Club. The funds will be used toward the purchase of an Amkus EF2S-
XL Electric Power Unit.
Attached is a resolution acknowledging the Lions Club contribution to the Fire Department.
Action Requested
The City Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the contribution from the
Elk River Lions Club pursuant to MN Statute ~ 465.03.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations,
and individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $2,500 donation from Elk River
Lions Club with the intent it be used by the Elk River Fire Department for the
purchase of fire fighting equipment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River to acknowledge the support and commend the Elk River Lions
Club for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 6th day of
December 2004.
