RESIGNATION, HIRING TEMPORARY POSITION
This past Friday, November 12, Scott Wilson resigned his position as a Wastewater
Operator effective November 26, 2004. Scott has been employed with the City of Elk River
since September, 2002, and has accepted a similar position with the City of Albertville. This
leaves the department two employees short.
David Hubner has worked for the department as a seasonal employee for three summers.
He recently completed the one year Water/Wastewater Program at St. Cloud Tech. College.
I am requesting permission to offer Dave Hubner a temporaty position as an entty level
Wastewater Operator. His starting rate of pay would be $14.88 per hour. I believe this to be
an emergency situation. Mr. Hubner would be available for work on Monday November 22,
2004. This temporary position will last approximately six months after which it will be filled
with a regular full time employee.
This would still leave one position within the department vacant. That position is being
advertised for at the present time.
