MEMORANDUM
TO:
Mayor & City Council
FROM:
Pat Klaers, City Administrator
DATE:
June 29, 1998
SUBJECT: Resolution Designating July as Park
and Recreation Month in the City of Elk
River
This item was intended to be discussed and approved at the June 15, 1998,
City Council meeting, however, no formal action by the Council was taken for
approval of this resolution. As the city has traditionally been involved with
the Chamber in a very strong community related Fourth of July event in
Orono Park, and as the city moves forward with a proposed park and
recreation bond referendum, it is appropriate that a resolution consistent
with the National Recreation and Park Association recommendation is
approved designating July as Park and Recreation Month in the City of Elk
River.
