1.0 CALL MEETING TO ORDER
John Dietz called the June 24,2016 meeting to order at 9:02 a.m.
1.1 Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was not recited.
2.0 CONSENT AGENDA(Approved By One Motion)
There were no items on the consent agenda.

No one appeared for open forum.

5.1 Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Property
Staff distributed Resolution No. 16-6 authorizing the purchase of real property—PID#75-411-
0220, 75-411-0250,and 75-409-0740. The Commission inquired as to whether staff had the
purchase agreement yet. Troy Adams responded that the purchase agreement was in the process of
being written and based on the terms discussed should be finalized by that afternoon. The
Commission inquired as to what the timeline was and if we would be providing earnest money.

Troy informed the Commission that as soon as we receive the purchase agreement, staff will be
setting up a meeting with the buyers to sign the paperwork. Legal counsel has suggested earnest
money in the amount of 5%of the$300,000 purchase price. Staff anticipates being able to schedule
a local closing to take place within the next two to four weeks.Daryl Thompson asked if ERMU
would be paying the closing costs. Staff responded that ERMU would be paying for the closing
costs.
Al Nadeau made a motion to approve the resolution authorizing the purchase of the three
parcels for$300,000. Daryl Thompson seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
6.0 OTHER BUSINESS
6.1 Adjourn Meeting
Daryl Thompson moved to adjourn the special meeting of the Elk River Municipal
Utilities Commission at 9:04 a.m. Al Nadeau seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
