Summary of General Manager Performance Evaluation
BACKGROUND:
On June 14,2016,the Commission conducted a closed meeting to evaluate the performance of
General Manager Troy Adams. Commissioner Dietz provided the following statement
summarizing the Commission's conclusions regarding the evaluation.
DISCUSSION:
Prior to the meeting, Commissioners, Department Heads and other relevant personnel of ERMU
had rated Troy Adams in several areas of the performance evaluation. A summary of the
information submitted by staff and Commissioners was discussed. Troy satisfied, or exceeded,
the expectations of each category discussed. His self-evaluation was also provided to the
Commission.
Discussion was held as to Troy's performance over the previous 12 months and what changes or
improvements could be made. Overall,the Commission rated Troy's performance very highly
and the group was pleased with how he was running the company.
The following additional benefits were discussed during the performance evaluation:
1. Accrual of vacation at the top rate as identified in the ERMU Employee Handbook,
currently 7.69 hours per pay period which is the equivalent of 25 days per year.
2. Issuing Troy a computer workstation to be used at home. This computer workstation shall
be subject to all terms of the ERMU iPad and Tablet Device Guidelines including terms
relating to personal use. The use shall be consistent with the Email/Internet portion of the
ERMU Employee Handbook as well as any other relevant ERMU policy. Initially this
workstation shall be an existing spare laptop and existing spare monitor with the required
docking station, keyboard, mouse, and other accessories provided by ERMU. This
workstation shall be integrated into the ERMU computer replacement schedule for future
replacement as appropriate.

ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of the two additional benefits for Troy Adams; accrual of vacation at the top rate as
identified in the ERMU Employee Handbook, and issuance of a computer workstation to be used
at home.
